Newtown Square Petticoat League

The NSPL is composed of three distinct leagues. The first, and most familiar is the intramural community league that is for the girls of Newtown Square and Broomall. This league has six divisions grouped by age. The six divisions are T-Ball, Minor, Major, Junior, Intermediate, and Senior. See the navigation bar for more information on each division.

There is a tremendous wealth of softball talent in our communities so the competitive level of play is surprisingly high. The divisions not only group the girls according to age, but each division also is a step up in competition and rules complexity. This way the girls can develop their softball skills and strategy as they grow up in our league.

The NSPL also sponsors the REBELS. The Rebels are our travel team. They play other community travel teams in the nearby area. There is not much "travel" despite the name. The travel divisions are similar to the intramural division. They are U-10, U-12, U-14 White, U-14 Green, U-16 & U-18. There may be an over-18 division depending on the level of interest. The coaches are listed under "coaches" on the navigation bar. This league requires a greater commitment and offers a higher level of competition than the intramural league.

On Saturday April 26th we held the Third Annual Gala for the Newtown Square Petticoat League. This league is home to over 400 girls including the Rebels. The Gala is the major fundraiser for improvements to our facilities. In the past two years, we have built the new pavilion and made significant improvements to the fields. This year the theme is "Paving the Way to the Future" and will focus on parking improvements which are sorely needed. Thank you all for your continued support!
